Cheyenne Sunrise Lions Ride for Sight 2001
Come join us August 11-12, 2001, for a fun and friendly tour across
the high plains of eastern Wyoming. Whether you choose a 10, 20,
31, 50, or the full Century tour, you will enjoy the rolling hills
and colorfull vistas as you ride out of Cheyenne on Horse Creek
Road.
Proceeds from the ride will go towards our vision screening program
for early detection of eye disorders in pre-school age children.
One in 20 preschoolers has a vision disorder that can cause permanent
sight loss if left untreated. A vision screening camera is used
to take a photo of light reflecting of the back of the child's eyes.
By interpreting the photo, an Ophthalmologist can detect problems
including nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, crossed
or misaligned eyes, as well as cataracts and similar problems.
